Frequently asked questions
How do I apply to work in Canada through Y International?
Register your profile for free: fill out the profile form, upload your CV or resumé, and upload a short introduction video. You can also browse current openings on Y International's job boards in English or French. The process then runs in six steps: document review, employer matching, job offer, immigration filing, travel and arrival, and integration support.
Is it free to register as a candidate?
Yes. Registering your candidate profile is free. A paid consultation ($339 CAD including HST) is optional and is only needed if you want a lawyer-supervised review of your immigration situation.
What documents should I prepare?
Prepare a valid passport, proof of education, attestation letters demonstrating your work experience, and a police certificate, along with your trade certification and work history.
Who files my work permit application?
Once an employer makes you a formal job offer, Y International prepares and files your LMIA-supported work permit application in-house, under the supervision of a lawyer licensed by the Law Society of Ontario.
Does Y International guarantee a job or a visa?
No. A job offer depends on an employer choosing to move forward with your profile, and no consultation or application can guarantee approval by Canadian immigration authorities.
